Osprey worked closely with Nalgene to build a better hydration reservoir. What makes the Osprey HydraForm Reservoir better? Shape, Hose Connect Protector, Bite Valve, and Magnets.
The cylindrical shape of a full reservoir is not optimal with the complex contours of your back, especially during aerobic activities. To guarantee the best fit, Osprey sandwiches an anatomically shaped, molded plastic sheet between a layer of nylon fabric and the reservoir back. This forces the reservoir to conform to your back’s shape even when full, making it more stable and comfortable.
The most common failure point in hydration reservoirs in where the tube connector attaches to the reservoir. Osprey designed a protector to total surround this area for increased durability.
The 180° On-Off Pivot Bite Valve easily rotates on and off in either direction and eliminates unexpected leaks.
Magnets on the bite valve and sternum buckle attachment makes hose management easier, especially while riding.
A rigid handle/spine stabilizes the water load and makes it easier to slide the reservoir into your pack.
An 80mm Rapidfill Cap makes filling the reservoir with ice and cleaning easy.
AquaGuard anti-microbial reduces bacteria and mold. EVA film material on the inside stays taste and odor-free from its saturated polymer construction (similar to glass for easy cleaning). BPA and PVC free.
