We've used this Duct Tape to make several field repairs while mountian biking.
Repaired a torn tire that was blown while bombing down a rocky trail. With a small oval cut from a plastic soda bottle, we taped it to the inside of the tire, covering the whole. This lasted to the end of the race.
While riding the 100+ mile White Rim Trail near Moab, my friend cracked his frame all the way through, just below the seat post. This happened about 70 miles in. We used a lot of duct tape, but it held to the end of the ride.
Sliced a big chunk of skin most of the way off my leg, about the size of a silver dollar. Sharp rock flipped up and got me. Some skin was still connect, so I used duct tape to hold the skin in place over the wound. Worked well.
